Determinants of mortality rates from COVID-19: a macro level analysis by extended-beta regression model

چکیده
Objective The specific mortality rate (MR) due to COVID-19 is a useful indicator for monitoring and evaluating the health strategies of systems in pandemic era. main objective this study estimate effects social, health, economic factors on MRs 176 countries. Material Methods Beta regression models were used, estimated as total number deaths divided by confirmed cases (infection fatality rate) until December 2, 2021. Results primary findings revealed heterogeneity rates between regions coefficients showed different patterns association explanatory variables rates. In American region, results strange pattern nearly insignificant effect almost all variables. Asian countries, we found significant GDP per capita share population aged 65 years older rates, whereas African continent, affecting capita, human development index, older. Finally, European did not find clear evidence an Conclusion These show, heterogeneous way among regions, impact aging, level density (especially with forms distancing) increasing risk death from coronavirus. conclusion, has succeeded demonstrating chaotic associations factors.

Macro Determinants of Infant Mortality in ECO Countries: Evidence from Panel Data Analysis
Background Infant mortality rate is widely used to assessing the health status of population in both developing and developed countries. The aim of this study was to identify the main factors affect infant mortality rate in ECO countries for the years 2005 to 2012. Methods A panel data model from ECO countries from 2005 to 2012 used to identify the some of key explanatory variables (GDP per cap...

متن کاملa study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market
the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
Spatial Beta Regression Model with Random Effect
Abstract: In many applications we have to encountered with bounded dependent variables. Beta regression model can be used to deal with these kinds of response variables. In this paper we aim to study spatially correlated responses in the unit interval. Initially we introduce spatial beta generalized linear mixed model in which the spatial correlation is captured through a random effect. T...
متن کاملA Systemic Control Model for Covid-19 Outbreak from a Safety Engineering Perspective
Reducing the consequences of the Covid 19 outbreak requires a systematic approach. The most effective way to prevent this disease is to cut off the virus transmission chain. In this letter, a systemic model for the management of the Covid 19 crisis is presented based on the bow-tie analysis model and the concept of Layers of Protection Analysis from the perspective of safety engineering. In thi...
